Gable siding replacement on a brick home in South Huntsville
When the old siding on this gable end came off, the bare wall was covered with a weather-resistant house wrap before any new siding went up.
New vinyl siding was then hung course by course from the brick line to the roof edge, with trim finished along the gable. The result, shown in the finished-job photo above, is a clean cream wall that sits tight against the brick and the gray shingle roof above it, and the house wrap behind it lets any water that works past the siding drain out instead of soaking into the wall.
